Malia's 1st time at a T-ball game

On Saturday, March 28th, Malia's cousin Brandon had a T-ball game in Belmont. Malia's never been to a T-ball game, so we decided to go and have a family outing. It was a beautiful day...80degrees. Malia had a fun time and enjoyed walking around, playing with cousin Taylor and Pall Pall and sitting on Daddy's shoulders while watching the game.

Malia & Daddy Time

On Februrary 28th, we brought our SUV in for routine maintenance and while we were waiting....Malia and Daddy took a walk around the car displays. So cute! Daddy enjoyed his special time with Malia...

All Bundled Up

It's been cold, windy and rainy the past few days. We definitely need the rain, but it's been so cold in the house....we bundled Malia in her fleece pants, pullover and hat.

Picture Time!

Malia is such a silly girl.
I recently taught her to purposely blink.
So Malia's been giving silly, blinky, smiley looks
when anyone tries to take a picture of her.
Here's her silliness at Cheesecake Factory:

Shopping at Target

I bought one of those now "in-thing" shopping cart covers a while back and never used it till Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009...the morning before SuperBowl XLIII.

Goong Goong, Pall Pall and I took Malia shopping at Target...one of Mommy's favorite places to shop. I think she likes being in the cart...this way she can see what's going on up top instead of so low down in her stroller....so cute!

Malia turns 1

Saturday, January 24, 2009 is the day Malia turned 1. We cannot believe our lil girl is 1. A year flew by so fast. Recently, we watched the video the day she was born...so tiny and so precious. We also looked at her photo album and saw all the changes in her. From her birth weight of 7lbs. 7oz. and 20" long to 17lbs. 12oz. and 29" long. We enjoyed all her milestones up until the day she turned 1:

Malia
her first smile
her first giggle
rolling over on her stomach
tummy time
sleeping through the night
sleeping in her crib
eating solids
crawling
pulling herself up to stand
saying Mama and Dada
cruisin'
etc...

Malia's getting really close to walking. She loves holding Mama or Dada's hand to walk. One of her favorite words is "Wow!" Malia's now drinking Whole Vitamin D milk. Malia's beginning to eat "adult" food. So far Malia has tried cheese quesadilla and Spanish rice.

Malia had her first sweets on her birthday...Malia didn't eat her actual birthday cake, but licked a lil of her frosting on her cake. Her cake was a marble cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting in purple and pink. We celebrated Malia's 1st birthday at our favorite mexican restaurant-Valle Sol. We played a couple of games-"Guess how many Cherrios", "Find a Word"-custom made by Daniel. He included all the words that had to do with Malia like all her stuffed animal names. Dina's parents did a raffle for two winners. The celebration lasted about 3 hours. It was a very nice intimate celebration with close friends and family....we all missed Grandma Jane, Grandpa Bill and Nana Edna!
