Malia's 2nd Road Trip to San Diego - Day 3 of 3 (18AUG09)

Day 3 - Mama's pedicure day at SpaTerre (the place Kate Goselin took her daughter Maddy). Dada, Malia and Grandma Jane dropped Mama off while they went to Denny's for breakfast. Mama enjoyed her Ice Cream Specialty Pedicure...yum strawberry ice cream at 9am :) After Mama's pedicure, we walked around the resort. Our first stop was the Tower. The sign read "81 stairs - climb slowly" ugh huh sure 81 steps no problem. We should've listened to the sign "climb slowly" key word: slowly. All of us were so out of breath and thighs were burning except for Princess Malia who was carried by Mama all the way up....we were so exhausted. We thought we'd stay up at the top of the tower for a while so we can catch our breath. Check out the pics we took at the top of the tower:

After we slowly walked down the stairs of the tower, we finished walking the grounds of the resort. Along the way we saw some duckies...quack quack!, sharks and coi. No turtles this time :(

We headed back to the condo to rest a little. We all got a little hungry and ended up walking to a nearby Pizza joint - Gabbiano's Pizzeria. Yummy cheese pizza, a little greasy but tasty. Grandma and Grandpa got sandwiches. Unfortunately, we were running out of time and didn't get a chance to go to the beach and try out Malia's new sand toys. We'll have to go next time. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for all the sand toys and golf clubs.

Later in the evening after Mama and Malia's nap, we met up with Dada's friend Chris and his wife Kristy and son Christopher at Belmont Park. Christopher is 11 months older than Malia. Malia and Christopher had fun riding the carousel and water boats. The submarine ride was a little scary for Malia and she gripped Mama the whole ride - no crying though so that was good. We all went to dinner at this Italian restaurant near Belmont Park called Luigi's. Dada and Mama shared some delicious cheese raviloi's with meat sauce, while Malia had her favorite cheese quesadilla. We had a fun visit with the Eaton family. Glad they took the time to come meet us at Belmont Park! Here's some pics we took at Belmont Park:

Goodbye hug or as Malia knows it as:
"Awh Awh" (hug in Cantonese)
